Oh how I wish I were rich.
So it was brought to my attention recently a very addictive game i had been missing out on. The game was called Peggle and I was told to download it ASAP.
So of course being the curious mind I am, I dropped my research on how to develop a safe and secure means of teleportation and hopped on the interweb to find clues about this elusive Peggle.
Well that wasn’t hard at all, seems Peggle is already crazy popular and had just been flying under my radar for sometime. The game created by PopCap games already had a huge following and from what I could tell 3 different versions including Peggle deluxe, Peggle Nights, and of course Peggle classic.
After downloading the free trial and getting started it was easy to see why this game was more important than teleportation. The concept of playing a game of plinko was not lost on me yet the simplicity of the game mixed with the fun and entertaining characters and level designs made for quite the experience.
Completely engrossed in the game I played for a full hour without realizing it and wondered where my time went and also how I could play more Peggle. Despite the vastly entertaining nature of this game it was not worth the $19.99 price tag that it carries
In fact most downloadable games online aren’t worth close to that much except for gunbound which I would happily dish out 50-60 bucks for if I had to.
I don’t understand why something like this could cost so much…and I am amazed that so many people have actually paid for it. I peak at around 10 bucks for any game I only play to pass the time like Tetris, Dr. Mario, Bubble Shooter…and even so I can get most if not all of those games in some form or another for free online, so why not Peggle?
I eagerly await the day when PopCap games stops raping its customers with unreasonable prices on these games. I understand that a lot of work went into the development but really feel they could be making a lot more money if they knocked that price tag down to between 5 and 10 dollars. But what do i know I am only a stupid consumer >:(
In any case my short stint into the world of Peggle may have been short lived but it was not without reason. It truely was an enjoyable game that I hope to play one day in it’s entirety, however until i can figure out teleportation I fear my bank account says otherwise.
